Copyist and Quality Control

Graduated in trombone in 1985 from the Conservatory of Padua, he served as the conductor of the “Città di Noale” Philharmonic Band – VE, from 1986 to 2022. In 1986 he also became a music teacher for middle schools. From that year until 1990, he was Principal Trombone in the “Keptorchestra,” a Big Band based in Venice, performing numerous concerts, some featuring guests such as Dizzy Gillespie, Paul Jeffrey, and Enrico Rava. In 1988, 1989, and 1990, he attended Band Conducting Courses organized by the Italian National Association of Autonomous Musical Bands (ANBIMA), led by Jo Conjaerts, professor of conducting, orchestration, and instrumentation for wind bands at the Conservatory of Maastricht (Netherlands). From 1988 to 1992, he studied composition under Maestro Wolfango dalla Vecchia, then professor of composition at the “C. Pollini” Conservatory in Padua.In 1991, he attended the German Federal Academy of Music for Wind Instruments in Trossingen, studying with Dutch composer Henk van Lijnschooten and American conductor Robert Reynolds, professor at the University of Michigan. That same year, he also took a conducting course at the Conservatory of Maastricht (Netherlands). From 1994 to 2000, he conducted the Crespano del Grappa Philharmonic Band (TV), with which he also recorded the CD “Concerto.” In 2000 and 2002, he attended advanced brass courses in Italy with Rex Martin, former tuba of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, student of Arnold Jacobs, and professor at Northwestern University, Chicago. As a teacher, he has held three-year training and advanced courses for Wind Band Conductors for AMBAC (Association of Bands of Veneto). In 2008, he participated in the Western International Band Clinic in Seattle (USA). From 1997 to 2024, he served as a lecturer in Ensemble Music for Wind Instruments at the Conservatories of Rodi Garganico-Foggia, Darfo B.T.-Brescia, and Udine, where he also founded and directed the Wind Orchestra in 2003.
