He graduated in Horn in 1995 from the Conservatory of Darfo Boario Terme (BS) and obtained a Second-Level Academic Diploma with a soloist specialization from the “Gaetano Donizetti” State Music Institute in Bergamo. Since 1998, he has studied composition and conducting, specializing in wind repertoire, and graduated with top honors in Orchestra Conducting from the Conservatory of Brescia. He studied composition with Antonio Giacometti and Stefano Gervasoni, and beyond his conservatory studies, he refined his skills with Jan van der Roost, Franco Cesarini, and Claudio J. Boncompagni. He has published wind compositions with the ANIMANDO publishing house in Sondrio. He furthered his orchestral conducting studies with Douglas Bostock, Ronald Johnson, and Lorenzo della Fonte, and has conducted over 600 concerts in Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, and the United States. He is the principal conductor of the Vallecamonica Wind Orchestra, with which he has won numerous performance competitions in Italy. He has participated in all major European festivals dedicated to wind orchestras (Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands) and has been a winner or finalist in numerous conducting competitions. He is frequently invited as a jury member for performance, composition, and conducting competitions in the band world, collaborates as an expert with various band federations, and served as coordinator of the Italian Jury Register for Band Competitions from 2009 to 2012. He is a member of WASBE and founder and president of DIBA – Direttori Italiani di Banda Associati, and is part of the teaching staff at ISEC (International Seminar for Emerging Conductors).
