Transcription and Adaptation
Mattia Rullo graduated in bassoon at the “Luca Marenzio” Conservatory in Brescia.
He has collaborated with various orchestral ensembles, conducted by Wayne Marshall, Daniele Agiman, Renato Rivolta, and others. He is the founder and a member of the Quadrophobia Wind Quartet, an endorsement group for the Canadian reed company Légère, as well as other ensembles of different kinds.
Alongside his instrumental activity, he is also a conductor: a student of M° Salvini, he has attended courses and masterclasses with M° Bostock, Della Fonte, Hauswirth, Mandonico, Andreoli, Bolciaghi, Johnson, Cesarini, Feldman, and others. He earned a First-Level Master’s in Wind Orchestra Conducting at the Conservatory of Milan.
His conducting work includes ongoing collaborations with the Castelcovati Band (BS), the Urago Mella Band (BS), the S.S.M.M. Gervasio e Protasio Band of Roccafranca (BS), the Borgosatollo Band (BS), and the Pradalunga Band (BG), winner in 2019 of the “Flicorno d’Oro” International Band Competition, Third Category.
He graduated with top honors in History and Geography of Europe at the University of Verona and in Modern Literature at the same university. He writes for several industry journals and is a member of various musical associations, including DIBA (Italian Band Conductors Association).
